The Trust would like to thank Franklin Magalhaes in Rio de Janeiro for the donation of a collection of music which had once belonged to Marie Roze, several with dedicatories from the composers to the singer.
Marie Roze performed with the Carl Rosa for many years and established herself in the role of Carmen amongst many others. The collection consists of sheet music which Marie Roze sang during her period of performing in the USA or in France, but not during her period with the Carl Rosa.
All the songs are written in French. The Carl Rosa Trust (a charity) has an archive of many music scores and memorabilia housed in the Central Library in Liverpool, England and his donation makes an admirable addition to the archive.
